One of Nigeria's talented filmmakers, Mo Abudu, has deepened her global presence with the launch of a new movie outfit tagged 'Mo Abudu Films'.

The storyline of ‘Iyawo Mi’ , tells of the tragic story of a married couple living in the slums of Lagos. The husband one day returns home to meet his wife hallucinating and faces terrible consequences as he seeks a solution for their predicament. Nollywood actors like – Lateef Abedimeji, Bolaji Ogunmola, and Segun Arinze feature in the film, alongside Jude Chukwuka, Koye Kekere-Ekun, and Blessing Obasi.

In ‘Her Perfect Life’ film, Pearl Thusi plays the role of an accomplished young lady, who, despite her successes wants to end her own life. Actors in this particular movie include – Joseph Benjamin, Omowunmi Dada, Uzo Osimkpa, Mary Lazarus, and Christian Paul. “This recognition means a lot to me as a filmmaker and storyteller. The Martha’s Vineyard African American Film Festival is a platform that amplifies the voices and perspectives of Black filmmakers, and I am grateful for the opportunity to feature my work there,” Abudu said.

In recent times, the media mogul has been making moves to deepen her work among the global audience with African stories. In March, she announced a partnership with British movie star, Idiris Elba, and his Green Door Pictures media company, to empower African talents in the movie industry.All rights reserved.
