If the answer is yes, then there could be a golden opportunity on the horizon for them as a new programme launches in Glasgow with applications now open for six weeks of free tuition in electronic music production.
The Right Track will see 10 successful applicants attend weekly sessions at the subSine | Academy of Music in Glasgow between Thursday, June 29 and Thursday, August 3 to learn about topics that range from making a beat to working with samples and DJing. The programme is delivered by Anna Realta and Simon Stokes who have extensive knowledge of the industry having both previously released their own acclaimed music.
Anna said:"The Right Track is an incredible opportunity for young people from diverse backgrounds across“Having been involved in the music industry for many years ourselves we both know how difficult it can be to navigate, so myself and Simon are determined to give this group of young people the skills and knowledge they need to put them on the right track and begin their careers.”
Funded by the Scottish Government’s Youth Music Initiative, administered by Creative Scotland, The Right Track is open to young people aged between 16-25, or up to 30 if the applicant identifies as disabled, care experienced and or as a young carer.Applications close on Tuesday, May 23.
