Michael J. Fox has admitted he doesn't expect to reach his 80th birthday due to his ongoing battle with Parkinson's disease.
He was first diagnosed with Parkinson’s back in 1991 at the age of just 29 years old. He opted to keep the disease private until going public with it nine years later. He is now embarking on a number of interviews to discuss how his life has been impacted by Parkinson’s. But he does go on to say that those living with the disease are at risk of injuries, such as falling, choking, or getting sick with a cold which can, in turn, prove fatal.
He said: “The idea of a biomarker… a way to identify the disease before the disease is present. By the time I was diagnosed, I had a little twitch in my pinky but...with this, we can identify the disease really early and help progression and essentially cure ahead of the game."A documentary titled Still: A Michael J. Fox Movie is set to be released on Apple TV+ next month. It will show the Hollywood actor exploring and discussing his condition.
