I will live to remember his song with the Zim choir ' hear me lord',, indeed he taught me something in that song, a prayer is just a prayer, no matter how short the prayer is. I will miss this great man. But it is done. RIPOLIVERMUTUKUDZI.

AND WHEN WILL AFRICANS BE RESPECTEDwhen they will come together, think like the late Gadaffi, build Africa as one nation, attain full independence, protect their resources, focus on building the whole of Africa, use one currency, help fellow Africa, realize their capability.

'Is dead' was there no better of saying this like 'passed away'

R.I.P Dr sir Oliver Mtukudzi . you left us a legacy through your sweet music

RIP to mdhara oliver mtukudzi he was a legend

I guess you just had to get this news off your chest in Zimbabwe where Tuku comes from we'd say has died or has passed away, Dead sounds very rude and dismissive though all words convey death the other two show compassion and respect to a Legend he was at least to us !

can you please rephrase your post it is rather insulting and disrespectful. You must remember this is someone that millions looked up to and a bit of sensitivity would have still made news for you seeing as it is just that to you. RIPTuku.

Please this man is a legend surely you could have done better than died..Rip Tuku

The legend Has Fallen... Let Africa Mourn..To Americans,He is the Elvis Presley of Africa. Show some respect

😢😢

Rest Easy.

When my mom died the doctor looked at me and said 'Well, she is dead.' Words I have never forgotten or been able to get past. 36 years ago. I wish the phrasing had been more empathetic. CNN's use of the English language must be based upon tangs ability to comprehend.

I'm heartbroken a legend is gone.

*HAS STOPPED BREATHING PERMANENTLY*

I'm south African. We lost an international icon rest in power tukumusic

He was a true legend.. Some of his songs include Tozeza baba, Neria, chengetai mai nababa...

As Zimbabwean im broken u now belong to th ages, u have reached th horizon where the earth kisses th heavens.See u later RIPOliverMtukudzi💔

What about 'passed away' CNN?

Oliver Mtukudzi RIPOliverMtukudzi RIPTuku

I can't help but wonder why CNN said 'is dead' and not 'has died' like they usually do for someone famous. Is dead sounds less respectful.

Rip African music icon

we definitely lost a legend.... RIPTuku
