Netflix’s Sex Education is about as British as a high-school prom | Caspar SalmonThe jocks-and-geeks fantasy-land of this teen drama is selling a culturally bland vision of the UK, says film writer Caspar Salmon I managed about half an episode..it looks like utter bollocks. It's actually really good. But the makers specifically added loads of American features to the English school/life to appeal to an American audience. Takes a bit of getting used to but doesn't ruin it for me. She wrote the school as an homage to John Hughes' films 🤷 not sure why people are getting so cranky about it at this point.
