If the union is that worried they should set up a relief program and pay their members during shutdown. Pay back after settlement. That's what unions are formed for, assisting their members.
Sure. Just saw a report that said an air traffic controller was moonlighting as an uber driver to make ends meet. I'm sure he'll be bright eyed & bushy tailed when reporting to his job !
Does it strike anybody else as crazy that the safety of thousands of air travellers is dependant on air traffic controllers forced to deal with the pressures of working without an income? Will it take a tragedy to realise that government should not be a political football?

The air traffic controllers, and the TSA folks, should all go on strike. This is nothing short of slavery. And realDonaldTrump obviously doesn't care.
Do the Americans really want to stop the shutdown? All Americans that are affected should call in sick tomorrow and every day after that until trump and pelosi come to an agreement.

I flew today. And I thanked each TSA agent I met. They were upbeat and professional. I am hoping that I won’t have to thank them again under these circumstances. How many more lost paychecks until they start breaking?
