The former Taoiseach all but confirmed it as he dodged question LateLateShow

There have been rumours swirling around the former Taoiseach recently that he had plans to run to enter Áras an Uachtaráin.

He appeared on the Late Late Show tonight alongside journalist Aoife Grace Moore and councillor Nicholas Trimble.They were discussing 25 years since the Good Friday Agreement with host Ryan Tubridy, however he decided to pop a different question towards Bertie as the interview was wrapping up."Next question," replied Bertie, refusing to answer.

Continuing on his quest for information about Bertie's possible presidential campaign, Ryan asked about whether his political past worried him when it came to running for president. "How you left the Taoiseach's office and all that, does that worry you when it comes to the race for the presidency?" he said.Tonight's episode of the Late Late Show marked 25 years since the Good Friday Agreement, as Ryan asked the other guests, including David Trimble's son Nicholas, about their memories of that time.

"I asked my daddy, what was the thing you noticed after the agreement, what was the big change?" said Aoife. "He said, people walking with their chin up a bit further. That feeling of hope."Read more:
