Brevity can be a tease and that's part of its charm. At 29 minutes, Sneaks’ new album “Highway Hypnosis” is her longest statement to date. The album demonstrates a huge leap in terms of intensity and idiosyncrasy.

First Listen: Lula Wiles, 'What Will We Do'Across the roots, country and bluegrass landscape, it's a banner moment for bands of visionary, virtuosic women: like Lula Wiles, a band of three women educated at Berklee College of Music. FirstListen I’m sorry, but why does everybody think they have to have a shit load of reverb on their voices. For God sake, where do they get producers these days? Is it haim Big fan of Lula Wiles for many years. Go to the same fiddle camp they do for years as well. Nice to see these very talented women get recognized. Thanks.

First Listen: Leyla McCalla, 'The Capitalist Blues'Haitian-American singer-songwriter Leyla McCalla maps her vision of the Afro-Caribbean diaspora while gently taking Anglocentricism (and capitalism) down a notch on her album 'The Capitalist Blues,' out Jan. 25. FirstListen Ironic capitalism is best capitalism. I guess she loves Venezuela and socialism and what Castro accomplished with communism in Cuba, poverty and starvation. 'The Capitalist Blues,' by Leyla McCalla great album to listen too. I love the lyrics to all her songs, and the songs title are catchy. Great voice and awesome instruments. It is a must buy album. Something fresh than the usual pop music you hear on the radio. GreatSoulMusic BBW
