But books ... I recently read bell hooks. She's an activist from America. A book called"All About Love: New Visions." It's interesting. It definitely shines some light about how we've been loving and how we can love. It just gives you perspective, I guess. But I really like that book.I love listening to Brazilian music. There's a closeness to the language [Brazil's official language is Portuguese], but there's also this expansive, more international sound to it.
There's this artist from the States called Linda Perhacs. She does psychedelic folk. I remember that record specifically,"Parallelograms." I listened to it when I moved here in 2014 and it changed my palette. I was so intrigued that kind of folk music. It's still one of my favourite records. Secretly, I love this one record by Colin Blunstone. He's the singer for The Zombies, and he has a record called"One Year.
I think it's where I am. I think it changes ... It's where you collect all the memories, but I think it does change sometimes. When I was just in Portugal, then I feel like it was my favourite place to be, and it was magical. But last summer, it felt like this was my favourite place. Here and going around the island and touring around Newfoundland was my favourite place. Going up to English Harbour and Fogo Island and just around the bay.
