I was drunk and lost in Richmond prior to an Eng v Wales 5N games years ago. A guy saw I was in a state and insisted I got in his cab with him to Twickenham. He then saw me into the ground and found me my seat and left me with my mates. The guy was Windsor Davis. Utter legend.
Sad to hear about Windsor Davies. Why aren't repeats of his very funny show 'It Ain't Half Hot Mum' shown on TV like other programmes from that productive period. Political correctness perhaps?
