“I’ve been at Dixon for five years,” Daniel Jackson, a second-grade teacher at Dixon Elementary School in Chicago, said in a videoby Chicago Public Schools , “and each one of my students has had the opportunity to learn how to tie ties but also show their own professionalism”
“Tie Tuesday is my favorite day of the week. Everyone comes to the second floor, and they’re like ‘let’s see what you’re wearing today,’” he explained. “In college, I was reminded of how my grandfather taught me how to tie a tie. And I knew I wanted to teach other young men and women how to tie a tie just as I’ve done in our classroom,” Jackson said.“When I wear my tie, I feel I am a businessman,” one student said.Another student told Fox 32, “I like it because I just think we look fancy.”

When I wear a suit & tie while visit my clients, and I meet people enroute, they always refer to me as 'Sir & Mr.', I appreciate the respect. This is especially true when I travel.

Love it! I had my students dress up on our field trip to a play. I had donated ties and button down shirts to seal the deal. It changed these boys into young men! 💕

In 1964 at he end of Basic Training we were required to parade in Class A uniforms, including a tie. I was 21 at the time and tied more than 22 ties for those in my Basic Training Company because they had no idea how to tie a tie. The Chicago teacher is doing a wonderful thing.
