Bittersweet news for fans of the renowned movie director and screenwriter Quentin Tarantino: His last film draws near, and the script for his reported last movie has just been completed.

The Hollywood Reporter's sources say the movie will center on a female lead and be set in the late 1970s in Los Angeles, California.It also reported on a likely movie plot, though they did not cite their source. The publication stated that the story may focus on the late Pauline Kael, one of the most influential movie critics of all time.Kael was also an essayist and novelist who reportedly got into fights with editors and filmmakers. She died in 2001.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, a frontrunner for the film's movie studio could be Sony, which distributed Tarantino's previous film,"Once Upon a Time in Hollywood" won two Oscars in 2020 after garnering 10 nominations, including Best Director. It also earned more than $377 million worldwide.Tarantino won Oscars for his screenplays for the movies "Django Unchained" and "Pulp Fiction," which he also directed.
