The outlet states, according to sources, that Tarantino is prepping to direct a script he has written titled. It is said to be set in late 1970s Los Angeles and to have a female lead character.
Given the movie's title and time period, there has been speculation that it will focus on Pauline Kael, an American film critic who wrote for The New Yorker from 1968 to 1991 and is considered one of the most influential reviewers of all time.Tarantino is known to be a fan of Kael's work, with her serving as an inspiration for his recently released non-fiction book Cinema Speculation.
The writer-director has previously said he only wants to direct ten movies as he believes filmmakers generally get worse as they get older. Speaking on the Pure Cinema Podcast in 2021, he told the show: “To actually end your career on a decent movie is rare. To end it with, like, a good movie is kind of phenomenal.”
