ICYMI: A London Comic Con attendee asked how Joseph Quinn felt about recent cases of targeted harassment towards Grace Van Dien. Quinn answered by calling the actions against the Chrissy actor 'awful', revealing he had spoken to her about the experience.

Stranger Things' Eddie Munson actor Joseph Quinn has called out the recent online harassment and trolling of co-star Chrissy Cunningham actor Grace Van Dien during a convention appearance. Both Quinn and Van Dien made their debut in season 4 of Netflix's hit sci-fi series in 2022, with Quinn portraying Dungeons & Dragons enthusiast and heavy metal fan Munson, while Van Dien portrayed popular Hawkins High School cheer squad leader Cunningham.

SCREENRANT VIDEO OF THE DAY As reported by Yahoo! Life, Quinn recently attended London Comic Con Spring, where alongside addressing a potential Stranger Things return, the star also took part in a Q&A during which an attendee asked how he felt about recent cases of targeted trolling and harassment towards Van Dien. Quinn answered by calling the actions taken against Quinn "Awful", revealing that he had spoken to Van Dien about her experiences.

It's so awful, I was talking to her about it. The internet is a very unforgiving place. It's a place where people can show a lot of support, or where people can rally around hatred and misinformation. It's indicative of where we are culturally, just through association she was getting lambasted. It's disgusting. I don't know what to say other than it sucks.

Though their screen time together was short, Chrissy's death weighed heavily on Eddie due to him fleeing the scene and being unable to help. The heavy metal fan dedicated his Upside Down "Master of Puppets" performance to Chrissy, before sacrificing his life to save Hawkins and make amends for his previous cowardice.

Stranger Things season 4 continued the Netflix series' impressive success by creating endearing characters, with audiences quickly growing fond of the latest additions to its cast. However, while viewers can offer a way to celebrate these new inclusions, it can also lead to vitriolic disagreements over beloved characters, with cast members such as Van Dien falling victim to trolling and online bullying campaigns.
