On March 13th, 2008: Legendary actor and comedian Billy Crystal appeared in a Yankees’ Spring Training game and took an at-bat against the Pirates. At the suggestion of Derek Jeter, the team signed New York City native and lifelong Yankee fan Billy Crystal to a one-day contract.
