The 95th Academy Awards aired Sunday, marking the conclusion of award season as some of the best actors, film industry professionals and movies of the year were honored, as indie filmMalaysian actress Michelle Yeoh accepts the Oscar for Best Actress in a Leading Role for"EverythingEverywhere All at Once" onstage during the 95th Annual Academy Awards at the Dolby Theatre in Hollywood, California on March 12, 2023.

All four acting winners—Michelle Yeoh, Brendan Fraser, Jamie Lee Curtis and Ke Huy Quan—earned their first Oscars during the ceremony; 16 nominees were first-timers.to win Best Actress, was presented her award by Halle Berry, the first Black woman to win the trophy.about Will Smith slapping Chris Rock during last year’s ceremony, but it wasn’t the main focus of his time on stage.
