The Liverpool Echo are looking for your best spring snaps for our new Mersey Snaps photo competition Enter here:

Daffodils have burst into bloom, tiny leaf buds have appeared on the trees and, at least until the next frost, there's a hint of warmth on the breeze. Spring is preparing to sweep through Merseyside, painting our parks, gardens and hedgerows in a riot of pastels and greens - and we want to see your photos.

For March, it's time to hunt out those Instagram-worthy images you've taken in your photos app or to take yourself out for a walk to enjoy the new season. Maybe the sight of a branch of cherry blossom lifted your mood on the school run or you've spotted a pretty clump of crocuses sprouting in the shadow of a tree.

You have until 5am on March 24 to submit your photo, voting begins the same day and closes at 5am on March 31 when the winner will be announced.
