Gogglebox fans in tears as 10-year show special pays tribute to stars who died

Gogglebox super-fans were left in tears during the popular show's ten-year special, as it paid tribute to six cast members who have sadly died since appearing on the show.

Another tribute came for late actress Caroline Aherne, who died in 2016. She was Gogglebox's first narrator. After Gogglebox's tribute, emotional fans flooded Twitter, as one wrote: "Leon and June I can’t" with a broken heart emoji, whilst another tweeted: "I miss so many of these families! Especially Leon and June."

At the time, Channel 4 also released a statement expressing their condolences, writing: "It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our dear friend and Gogglebox legend Leon.
