They stranded my family in BC - we had our 3 year old with us for a late flight to Toronto - they overbooked and told me there was nothing they could do - we have never been on an Air Canada flight since Westjet or nothing!!
I've flown with so many airlines all over the world, nobody even comes close to being as terrible as Air Canada. They have the rudest staff of any business on earth, I swear it's a requirement to work for them. Even though WestJet is a simular price, I'd happily pay double for WJ
This is from last summer Air Canada is fine it’s the luggage handling at Pearson that is horrible. How do they lose luggage on a direct flight? It never got on the plane

Air Canada is the worst airline I’ve ever experienced! Their domestic flights are OK (other than guaranteed delays/cancellations/over bookings/lost bags), but their international flights are horrific! Rude flight staff, sub-par service & complete disregard for people’s luggage!

That's why I never fly Air Canada. When my child was 2 yr, whom I bought a ticket for, the flight attendant said either I can eat or my child but not both of us because they ran out of food
