“Then, when we got to the studio, they asking questions about what I was doing in the lessons. It’s not that the roles are reversed, but they are saying ‘Caity what do you want us to do here?’ ‘What do you think about this?’ They are offering their insight into my music in a way that isn’t demeaning or anything, it’s just really supportive. They want what’s best for the music and that’s what I want, too.

Featuring includes two standards: Henry Nemo’s 1941 song Tis Autumn, made famous by Nat King Cole, and Richard Rodgers and Oscar Hammerstein’s Oscar-winning 1945 chestnut It Might As Well Be Spring. The other 11 songs are originals but, remarkably, sound like they could have come from the Great American Songbook.
