Chris Pine's revelation about Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves makes it a far more exciting movie, and a brilliant adaptation of the TTRPG.

Chris Pine's reveal of the reason why he chose to star in Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves makes the movie even more exciting. Directed by the duo who helmed the hilarious 2018 comedy Game Night, John Francis Daley and Jonathan Goldstein, Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves is the fourth film adaptation of the TTRPG, though it has no connection to the previous three movies.

SCREENRANT VIDEO OF THE DAY Chris Pine's reasoning for starring in Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves makes it one of the most excitingly unique blockbusters of 2023, in stark contrast to the relative failures of the previous Dungeons & Dragons movie adaptations.

Pine has said that there certainly is an element of "self-awareness" in Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves, which is obvious after viewing the film's trailer, but that it never gets in the way of the film's "old-fashioned" heist story. One of Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves' directors, Jonathan Goldstein, also stated that the filmmakers approached the movie as a heist film first, and then a Dungeons & Dragons movie.

Honor Among Thieves’ Tone Makes It Unique Among 2023 Blockbusters Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves' heartfelt tone also makes it unique among 2023's biggest movies. With the MCU haven largely taken over the blockbuster landscape, many of these films rely on that franchise's use of snarky one-liners and meta references to please fans and attract audiences.
