KUALA LUMPUR, March 6 — Federal police said today they have commenced an investigation into the locally producedBukit Aman police secretary Datuk Noorsiah Mohd Saaduddin said an investigation paper was opened subsequent to a total of eight police reports lodged so far.
According to Noorsiah, the case is being investigated under Section 298A and Section 505 of the Penal Code, and Section 233 of the Communication and Multimedia Act 1998. Separately, Section 233 criminalises online content that is “obscene, indecent, false, menacing or offensive in character with intent to annoy, abuse, threaten or harass another person”.
