The Nosferatu remake adds a Marvel actor to its already star-studded cast. Known for the critically-acclaimed historical films The Witch, The Lighthouse, and The Northman, Eggers had been trying to get a remake of the 1922 silent film Nosferatu off the ground since 2015, which he finally did last year. After cycling through several different stars, the Nosferatu remake settled on It's Bill Skarsgård as the titular vampire, with additional stars being added thereafter.
SCREENRANT VIDEO OF THE DAY Now, as production has begun in Prague, another star has been added to the cast. According to The Hollywood Reporter, the Nosferatu remake cast has added Aaron Taylor-Johnson to its star-studded ensemble. The actor is best known for playing Pietro Maximoff/Quicksilver in the Marvel Cinematic Universe and will also play the titular Marvel character in Kraven the Hunter, releasing in 2023 as part of Sony's Spider-Man Universe.
Since Hoult was the third actor cast, it's likely he's playing a character based on Nosferatu's quasi-protagonist Thomas Hutter, while the rest of the cast is likely playing the remaining tertiary characters. Since Dafoe seems tailor-made for the role of Knock, Count Orlok's brainwashed minion, Taylor-Johnson could be playing a character based on Hutter's close friend, Harding, or Professor Bulwer, a physician.
Could have just said the Marvel actors name.
