PETALING JAYA: Even heavy drizzle and muddy pitch did not stop Johor Darul Ta’zim from winning in style in the Super League again.

One would have expected them to struggle under a tough condition but they overpowered their opponents with their good possession and fluidity to disappoint Kuala Lumpur 3-0 at the Cheras Football Stadium on Wednesday.

The second one for JDT followed when midfielder Endrick Dos Santos headed in an inch-perfect cross from striker Fernando Forestieri in the 51st minute and winger Arif Aiman Hanapi sealed a classy win when he finished off a low-drilled cross from fellow winger Ramadhan Saifullah Usman in the 91st minute.

“We played against a side known for their tactical organisation and set-pieces, but my boys did well to execute the plans. We played a good offensive game.“Every game is tough for us because every team tend to treat our games like a final. But this gives us the strength to continue pushing ourselves in the league. He was also heartened to see his players’ performance but reserved special praise for Dos Santos, the Brazilian-born naturalised player.

“I want everyone to keep up with the intensity in training and give me options to tinker the line-up.”
