If you are a fan of Mario and you think he HAS TO have a comically bad “Italian” accent, you are a very sad and pathetic person.

'He really fits in the role because we can use his name to advertise the movie.'

He’s really good at playing a blue-collar hero with a ton of heart, ... so that makes him Italian a huge character trait of Mario was his ethnicity isn't it?

If they were going to go the 'normal dude' route, I'd rather them give it to an actual voice actor. Not just throw it at Chris and say 'here, just talk normal'.

Should have been Charles Martinet, the voice of mario for my entire life.

Should’ve been Pedro Pascal
