And they have a vote.......

As long as the organisers of the event pays for the pill testing fine. However what happens when a test comes back ok but the person still dies because of how their body reacts who will get the blame? The stuff is illegal for a reason

Play silly games, Win silly prizes!

Another one bites the dust

There will always be some people who choose illegal drugs, it’s called natural selection. No to pill testing.

So in other words police searches cause kids to die at music festivals because they freak.out and take all their drugs at once. Well done nsw police first killing another kid at a music festival.

Wow, this hard line on drugs is really working, isn’t it? I mean it’s been many decades now and drug use is in no way declining. It’s time for testing to be available either somewhere safe prior to (DIY) or at events. More deaths can be avoided.

Should be an automatic 5k fine if your found with drugs on ya - watch the epidemic disappear

Oh well...

37% of those that were searched had drugs. Big number in terms of percentage. However they only searched 1.2% of total attendees. If the powers that be believe police searches are the way to stop drugs at festivals, they need to up their numbers by a multiple of least 80! FOMO

Renewed push for pill testing after teen girl dies at music festival | Sky News AustraliaThe woman who died from a suspected drug overdose at a Sydney music festival at the weekend has been identified as 19-year-old Alex Ross-King. \n\nMs Ross-King was at FOMO music festival in Parramatta, Sydney’s west on Saturday, when she was rushed to Westmead Hospital and later died. \n\nThe teenager’s family is now calling on the New South Wales government to consider pill testing at music festivals. \n\nPremier Gladys Berejiklian has not supported the move however, saying ‘I worry pill testing could have the opposite effect’ and ‘we need to keep sending out the strongest message that taking these illicit drugs kills’. \n\n\n\n\n\n I've got a bizarre, simpler, more cost effective solution. Just make the drugs legal so the entire supply chain will be run by corporate citizens vested in the success of society, instead of criminal gangs vested in the destruction of society. Forget the testing and start arresting some of these drug user and pushes. Can someone please explain what pill testing is and how it would work at a music festival?

Excessive costs of alcahol & tobacco in Australia have seen the rise of illicit drugs & black-market tobacco industry's. Designer drugs are cheaper & relatively easy to obtain. Prohibition didn't work in the US in the 30's. It isn't working here today. More young Australians.... will die if tax reform does take place. Reform or Referendum. The people of this country have a right to choose. The Governments don't have the right to oppress our right to choice. A ground swell of anger towards high taxes is building.
