‘American Idol’ star had 'last laugh' after date said he'd 'never make it'

Adam Lambert said a guy he was dating once told him he'd"never make it" in the music industry.

He said he’s also proud as a gay man that he’s gotten to"challenge the status quo by being myself, just existing openly and honestly and boldly on a public level.
