Maybe the writers just wanted to send up Harrelson’s reputation as a blowsy stoner. And indeed, that was a joke in multiple sketches throughout the show. That would mean the monologue’s crime was one of lazy writing that hung Harrelson out to dry.
But then matters took a gross turn. That VW-flower-stickered-bus of thought all led up to his punchline about this unbelievable script he read three years ago. Get this: The largest drug cartels in the world have bought off all the media and politicians. In doing so, they’re able to convince a vulnerable human race that it’s in danger and needs to quarantine for its survival.
Why? Because he spoke facts and refused to toe the line and push the proven bullshit narrative that you and other msm outlets are pushing? Nah, fam. He nailed it.

The show felt flat. My fav host this year was Pablo Pascal. Get him his five-time jacket; he and the cast were was laugh out loud funny.

The current line up is crap. There is no saving an episode by a good monologue. It was his to tell and he did. Hope the Covid part bothered you as much as you seem to be irked.
Years ago, VF would have been the first to uncover the truth how covid was a bio-weapon created in a lab to convince the world to take the “vaccines.” I am sure Covid was pass the planning stages by 2013 when the UN announced (publicly) Agenda 21. Good for Woody.
