Ryan Reynolds and Shawn Levy are set to collaborate yet again on a musical comedy called Boy Band. The star and director first teamed up for Free Guy, which was a surprise hit at the box office in the summer of 2021. The two then reunited on The Adam Project for Netflix, which was released in March 2022 and landed among the streamer's top 10 most-watched movies. Reynolds and Levy are currently gearing up to shoot the Marvel Cinematic Universe's Deadpool 3 this spring.
SCREENRANT VIDEO OF THE DAY Now, the A-list star and director have set their fourth feature film collaboration together. Per The Hollywood Reporter, Reynolds is attached to star in and produce the musical comedy Boy Band. Levy is also producing the project for Paramount and is being eyed as a potential director, with scheduling being the primary determining factor.
It's also unclear what role Reynolds will play in Boy Band, though news of the project comes soon after he proved himself as a capable singer in Apple TV+'s Christmas musical Spirited, which was directed by Sean Anders. In addition to starring and producing, Reynolds also co-wrote Boy Band with Jesse Andrews, the writer behind Me and Earl and the Dying Girl and Pixar's Luca.
