how can netflix boast about originality when it 'borrows' the ideas of others?

Does that mean that the people who made the first role playing video games get to sue “Choose Your Own Adventure”?

I don't have any background on this, but Goosebumps did the exact same thing and did not get sued. What's odd is that you would think another book would be more of a competition than a tv series. Maybe this is a last ditch effort to get desperately needed funds?

I hope they lose. Too broad. No way you can have a patent on deciding how a story plays out- all video games wouldn’t be able to exist then. But of course, Netflix will settle and the choose-your-own-adventure people will just go on to sue someone else. I wish Netflix would fight

The only original programming from Netflix that I've enjoyed.
