Sam Houston Trail Riders visited Tomball with their four-legged friends after their stop in Montgomery. Hundreds of residents from the north Houston area participated in the annual event. For Trail Riders David and Sharon Supak, the Cypress-Tomball area is a place they call home.
“Tomball is excellent,” Sharon said. “They always have the biggest, most welcoming committee. David and I are from Cypress-Tomball area, I worked at Tomball hospital for 21 years and so, it's extra special to David and me because we are born and raised right here in this area. The police department and the chamber of commerce is always just excellent about putting on a big show and the parade is good and making us feel very welcome.
The Sam Houston Trail Riders comes through Tomball every year before heading down to the Houston rodeo. The group has 100 riders and Sharon said every year’s itinerary is the same as they are big on tradition. The event doesn’t just draw Tomball residents. Brittany Graves and her two daughters have been in attendance every year since 2017. Graves is a Cypress resident but doesn’t mind taking the trip down the road every year to participate in the event.
