Sky News Senior Political Reporter Trudy McIntosh says if the Liberals fail to hold a seat in the upcoming Aston by-election, it will show “things have gone backwards” for Opposition Leader Peter Dutton.

“If the Liberals don’t hold the seat here and the government has managed just to pick it up off them, that’s

record-breaking history over 100 years I think in a by-election,” Ms McIntosh told Sky News host Peta Credlin.
