The Oscar-nominated actor grew up in Summerhill, but spends a lot of his time travelling the globe - between working on movie sets to arriving at glitzy award ceremonies.

Barry grew up in Summerhill in Dublin city centre alongside his older brother Eric, with the siblings living in different foster homes. He starred in Fair City for three episodes as Dave Donoghue in 2011. He was only 18 years of age at the time. He landed a major role in 2013, playing the “infamous cat killer” Wayne in the RTE drama Love/Hate.

They joked back and forth, with Barry explaining that Alyson, who works as an orthodontist, didn’t care that he was an actor.
