The German film “All Quiet on the Western Front” was the sweeping victor of the night, winning seven awards including best film and best director. “We’ve been blessed with so many nominations and winning this is just incredible,” said producer Malte Grunert on stage. “The Banshees of Inisherin” was also favored at the event, clinching both the supporting actor and supporting actress awards, as well as best original screenplay, among others.

It was a dull, obvious, heap of dung.
Why was everything quiet on the Western Front? Because most of the German army was dead from the 1918 Influenza.
To me, it is worthy of an Oscar for Best Picture 2023. Also for best director, best actor, best cinematography and best sound track. Very powerful, realistic, engaging war movie. Emotionally heartbreaking & brutal. It is well worth seeing.
Watched it and don’t get the acclaim.
That was same movie made in 1929 or so.
My story should have won. It is one of triumph over adversity, and it deserves to be shared with the world so that others may draw inspiration from my example
