Boy Meets World actor Blake Sennett has revealed why he quit acting and how a near-death experience factored into his decision. The comedy series aired on ABC for seven seasons up until 2000 and followed Cory Matthews and his friends and family as he progresses from childhood to adulthood. The series starred Savage, Rider Strong, William Daniels, Will Friedle, Betsey Randle, and Danielle Fishel, among many others in its ensemble cast.

The actor-turned-musician said that substance issues were present for him during his time as an actor, but he didn't make a change until his near-death experience. Sennett has since become an accomplished musician, publishing four albums and numerous EPs and Singles.
During my time as an actor, I think I was struggling with some substance stuff. That stuff came to a head, let's say, and... Well, f*ck it. I almost died. So, I sort of got brought back to life. Upon this, I sort of came to, so to speak, the next day and was like, 'Well, I gotta figure something else out.' I was able to, with the help of things at our disposal these days, I was able to get help.
