TUCSON, Ariz. — More than 65,000 people descend on Tucson each February for the Tucson Gem, Mineral and Fossil Showcase. It is a collection of about 50 gem shows across the city.

"Even though I was a geology student, and I was brining rocks home from the field, I didn't think of myself as a mineral collector until after the Tucson show," recalled Megaw.Megaw is one of nearly 500 members of the Tucson Gem and Mineral Society. He's helped the annual show grow into an international event.

While there are nearly 50 gem and mineral shows each February in Tucson, the Tucson Gem and Mineral Society is credited with starting it all. That first show in 1955 looked nothing like the sprawling four-day event we see today at the Tucson Convention Center.

Ashton Kutcher Wants That 90s Show To Have More Seasons Than That 70s ShowFresh off the show's season 2 renewal, Ashton Kutcher shares his thoughts on how long That90sShow should run. 'I hope those kids have 10 seasons of that show.' Then they can’t continue their current plan by doing each season every summer… soon they will be in the 2000s and kind of makes the name pointless. Should do what That 70s did and have it set from 95 to like 99 and end on that last day of 99.
