I have a lot of conflicting feelings about this. First off, this is Alpha footage. Which means that much of these assets are likely to be placeholders rather than the final product. The combat UI looks cartoonish, and the menu interface looks like every other AAA game.
Knowing modern BioWare and how DA was edging towards wokeness, every enemy will announce their pronouns before you kill them
Not a problem if the combat is fun but with these types of games they can't leave out decision making/dialogue options.
There wasn't a big problem with the CRPG style of Origins, that was the last time it felt like a unique RPG to me. Every iteration since then has stripped it of gameplay identity and the plots aren't strong enough to support the entire thing. Just update the CRPG UI, it was fine.
I think I personally will enjoy this more but I can certainly see how people who are more so fans with how origins is will dislike this change.
I'll wait until a year after it's out and buy it used once the full game is available and I don't have to directly give EA any money. Still mad about Andromeda.
I want to say I don’t mind change, but at the same time I played Dragon Age because it had a different play style than most games on the market. I don’t care about the GoW games. They’re not bad. I just don’t care. It doesn’t make DA bad either. But I’m not paying money for it.

I’m willing to give it a chance because I love the franchise, BUT I’m still worried it’ll tank.
Game is so far out anything can change.

Never thought Dragon Age and God of War would ever be in the same sentence when it comes to combat, or anything else really, what a weird decision
I had such high hopes. But here they go totally screwing up what made dragon age origins so perfect. Maybe there will be a choice for combat styles….
