I think it's got more to do with Returnal releasing on PC just 2 weeks before it and them wanting to give it some breathing room than anything else.

Seems like shader compilation issue hasn’t been fixed since Uncharted 4. So ironic that “the best” Sony studio released the worst PC port so lets hope that this time they won’ screw up ( played it on PS5 btw )
