The military thriller follows Army Sergeant John Kinley on his final tour in Afghanistan. There, he is teamed up with a local interpreter named Ahmed , who ends up risking his own life to carry an injured John to safety.
The tense trailer opens with John and his squad getting ambushed by the Taliban, before cutting to him back at home in America, admitting:"I don't remember any of it. I only remember... the interpreter."It's then revealed that Ahmed took the job not for the money, but to seek revenge on the Taliban for the death of his son – and now his own life appears to be in grave danger.
"If it wasn’t enough for him to carry me across those mountains, now he’s hiding in a hole somewhere," says John."I should be in that hole." John now plans to return the favour, as he later adds:"Ahmed and his family are in trouble. I'm gonna have to get him out myself."
