That’s a bummer, I thought it was done really well. The only complaint I feel is legit is that some ppl didn’t want to spend so much time on a side character, which I kinda felt myself. Otherwise, it was a very well done episode with great acting, and emotional weight.

The criticism is legitimate in that the episode does zero to advance the plot of the protagonists (Joel and Ellie). As good as the episode may have been as a stand alone story, as a part of a series it was an overly indulgent exercise in how not to depart from the main narrative.

This episode sucked. The changes they made didnt improve the story. Where was the Bill and ellie banter? Where was the bloater we first saw in the school? Bills Town was one of the best parts of the story and they completely took it out to show us 2 men in bed?

Honestly I really liked episode 3, people complain too much and whine about sticking to original material. It was a great episode although I longed for more with Frank and Bill and Joel, it was good.
I love the first game, hate the second - so far the series has been tremendous, god knows what I'll think of it if they follow the Last of Us part 2, but episode 3 was a brilliant piece of television with amazing performances, well done to all involved.
I know Bill was gay in the game and I'm fine with that and this backstory. I don't like how they removed the best part of the game though. And I also think Cuckman probably intentionally wanted this episode to further the liberal agenda

I loved it! A beautifully told love story. Yes, it was different to the game, but I liked the deviation.
I like the show but it is grossly overrated. The set design, artistic direction and the story is good but nothing spectacular in fact things look low budget at times.
IMDB is excellent for finding out what your favorite creative personality is working on and discovering things people have done before. It's a great tool. As for IMDb reviews, it's a cesspool where the alt-right loves to swim. II don't even consider it when choosing reviews.

I thought the episode was really well done, but because I'm on the internet, I had two complaints: 1. I think Bill as a character (purely from TV) had more traction as a prepper and would have liked more invested in him. 2. I wanted to see more of the raid. Or more raids.
