The star of the Korean drama “Twenty-Five Twenty-One” will be starting his military service on March 20 and will serve in the military police riot squad, according to his agency.“Nam Joo-hyuk passed the military police today. He is scheduled to enlist on March 20,” Management Soop, the actor’s agency, told Korean media.
On Jan. 5, Nam Joo-hyuk applied for the Military Police Task Force of the Capital Defense Command and was notified of his final acceptance on Jan. 31. When he enlists, Nam Joo-hyuk will receive five weeks of basic military training after which he will move to his own unit to continue his military service.
Nam Joo-hyuk has starred in dramas such as “Cheese in the Trap,” “Moon Lovers: Scarlet Heart Ryeo,” “Weightlifting Fairy Kim Bok-joo” and “Start-Up.” His last project before his enlistment is the Disney+ series “Vigilante,” which he finished filming in December.
