Actor Zinhle Ngwenya becomes a traditional healer | City Press

Zinhle Ngwenya, who plays a prophetess on House of Zwide, has now become a traditional healer in her life away from the cameras.

She didn’t take acting seriously at first as she was more concerned with her night job as a nurse in the intensive care unit at Mediclinic facility in Pretoria in 2008. "It [the spiritual gift] takes time to accept because of the things of the world, but eventually you’ll be forced to follow your path. I went to a place called Mamboni in Mozambique to complete my journey that’s why I use herbs from Mozambique, Zimbabwe and Malawi." Her family is very supportive, especially her sister whom Ngwenya is appreciative of, as they are Christian and have helped make this transition a seamless addition to her life.
