'He's a top G. He's a cool guy. He knows what he's doing.' This is how hundreds of Australian teenage boys feel about internet celebrity and alleged human trafficker Andrew Tate, according to a recent survey.

Mr Tate first gained notoriety after he was kicked off reality television in the UK in 2016 when a video of him assaulting his ex-girlfriend emerged.

Earlier this year, Andrew Tate was charged with being part of an organised crime group, human trafficking and rape. Despite his recent bans on social media, Mr Tate's content is still shared and copied by other accounts, making it almost impossible for young people to avoid.

Really ABC?

I'm not a fan of Tate, and don't agree with a lot of what he says. This whole problem might have something to do with the opposite sex constantly trying to tell males what they can and can't like or do? BTW - Where are the articles on radical feminists?

How does anyone believe the crap and lies the ABC sprout out

Lack of real parenting where they learn proper values.

the Tate brothers and their inner circle found a way to live the gangster rapper, hip hop etc lifestyle which is heavy depicted in music video and lyrics! why the surprise i have no idea! Even his promoting online is to show his success at doing so and the rest is justification.

Because you’re trying to turn them into women

He believes in reality

Just a horrible man. That’s all. Nothing cool

Because the media failed & because the country failed shoving guilt and fear down young mens throats can only end one way

From my experience with my nephew- his parents tell him success is the result of hard work. Tate tells him he is owed success and dominance purely for being a guy, and if it isn’t given, take it. Which do i think sounds appealing to a teen who doesn’t like to work for things

Young boys are growing up thinking they are bad just because they are male. The woke brigade have one this. Tate speaks sense

In a world where boys are made out to be toxic, rapists and all sense of masculinity is considered to be cancelled.

These are the same people who watch wrestling and fast car movies. They aren't particularly discerning about what might be important, and more about what makes the most noise.

Spoke the truth...

Maybe you should look at yourself as a reason. But of course, the story fits perfectly into the toxic masculinity narrative the ABC pushes. Just keep telling boys they are toxic and the supposed problem will go away.

🙄🙄🙄

The bleeding heart apology life is over. Woke is dead.

The voices of dissent over the Tate (PUA) model of male exploitation within the manosphere were stripped from the public internet over the last decade. Young men always look for purpose within mamma's handbag, Tate dangles it in front of them.

You’ve spent decades telling boys and men that they’re at fault for everything, you tear down their social structures and then you wonder why a loose cannon like Tate gets an audience? Laughable.

By having no positive father figures

Perhaps the young men raised by the ever growing cohort of single 'strong independent feminist' mothers are simply flocking to father figures for guidance.

Why blame poor behaviour for people like Tate . If your are brought up to show respect and decency it usually sticks . Maybe look at the parents of these teenage boys

Because of woke media outlets like the ABC that is complicit in leftist ideology that promotes been a male is toxic. End of the day the world needs men. Strong men, that will stand up and lead, be role models, that’s not been toxic it’s called masculinity. Agree or not it’s TRUTH

probably as when you do the right thing you get treated like shit

Maybe he just speak the truth without fear of someone sabotaging his image or reputation

Because they are sick of feminist driven outlets like the ABC marginalising and demonising them for being male.

They are sick of left winged woke crap

Because outlets like yours glorify w⚓️s like him instead of reporting on relevant matters (like the RobodebtRC for eg).

Because the alternative put forward by publications like yours was so unpalatable

They, too, are insecure & frightened of women.

Andrew Tate is an absolutely deplorable human being. Why anyone would want to emulate him is beyond me.

Considering the years of toxic feminism and identity politics telling young boys that they're born faulty and must atone for their masculinity, it's no wonder it opens a need that less savoury characters can fill.

Because his in denial about his sexual like every other sad loser out there.

My mum always told me to be wary of people who wear sunglasses indoors! They have something to hide.

He is not a misogynist and your looking in the wrong places

Males have been punished for the last 10 years in Western civilisation by movements and a strong male presence which are talking about being a respectful male is a duty is freshing

This is the result of telling young boys about Toxic Masculinity. Stop whining about your own monsters you create. If you never started all this wordplay, and assault on men, you wouldn't get an equal and opposing extreme reaction. Blame yourselves.

Because he’s as scared of girls as much as teenage boys are.

The flood of comments nails it. Being male doesn't make u a rapist. Being white doesn't make you a racist. This is the nonsense some men are rallying against in our misandrist hate filled women kingdoms.

Because he’s got the mental maturity of a 13yo, combined with a massive inferiority and insecurity complex. I’m sure he was severely bullied at school so this is his way - toxically compensating for his own fundamental weak character.

The millionaire lifestyle might have something to do with it

Teenage boys are little shits to be honest.

A hit piece from a misandrist. How about balanced reporting like you were taught at university.

Maybe because our schools no longer teach kids how to read, do maths, science or think for themselves. Rather than having them think for themselves, they learn to believe what their teaches dictate to them. Limit learning to the basics.

by understanding and spreading the word that rags like yours just lie for money and for your sponsors profits, and then, the bastard, tells people the truth about shit... you know... the stuff you do your best to cover up each day...

Your chick think bullshit doesn't wash with boys. Provide balance and equality, these people don't get audiences.

It’s interesting to note that Meghan Markle’s racial mix is front and centre of stories appearing on the ABC, yet Mr Tate’s is never mentioned. Despite them being identical🤔 Surely he too is just a victim 🥴 Black man being torn down by the white man’s world etc etc 🤣

Probably because our young boys are seeing similarities between “conversion therapy” and society trying to “convert” them away from - masculinity - that they aren’t being fully taught yet (or understand) 🤷‍♂️

When you tell a group of people that they were born ‘toxic’ they tend to react. If anything, TikTok is rife with misandry, make an account and have a look for yourself.

Only known thanks to amplification in the trash, mass media, well done ABC. ABC needs a clear out and a refresh asap, this is getting urgent.

This is a dangerous path we are walking but it is the natural response of young boys told that masculinity is toxic and the way they are is wrong. Culturally we need to help our young boys be boys then maybe they wouldn’t rebel by following people like Tate.

That’s not an achievement. Flipping bottles was more appealing to teenage boys

It starts at school. Mixing favouritism and equality brings on resentment.

Cause kids are easily influenced by social media. That’s why.

Because ‘real’ male role models at home are lacking.

A lot of women/femininity/feminism blaming in this comment thread. Geez. Getting a bit emotional there lads lmao.

Unfortunately, society has created an environment giving rise to lost boys. We have implicit messaging of inherent characteristic toxicity - a reductive, useless buzzword. The kids I've had in sessions say they went that path for to low self esteem/hating themselves first.

The defensiveness and excuses for misogyny from men respondents shows it’s Tate tapping into what’s already there. He’s given voice to the unspeakable and emboldened the deplorable.

If you keep demonising everything about masculinity then young males will turn to someone who says 'you know what? F*ck you people, I am who I am, like it or lump it.'

Why ìs the media caught up in reporting on criminals?

The type of concerted misogynist attack on former NZ MP Jacinda Adern sanctioned by social and MSM reinforces this kind of behavior.

no. most teenage boys dont care, dont know, and certainly dont look up to someone who is bald and was an average 'athlete'. plus he looks ugly. do better abc. thank you

Boys are taught to behave like girls in school & society. There is a significant difference btwn the 2 sexes also the the minefield of binary/non binary. So when a person discusses males and being macho it becomes appealing to boys told their normal behaviour is toxic masculinity

Young men benefit from positive role models, and he isn’t one.

Yet ABC had no issue giving Clementine Ford air time..

Perhaps in response of the toxic, sexist nature that is feminism these days. He simply took a leaf out of Clementine Fords book and saw how making fame and fortune using toxic and sexist remarks about a gender works.

boys are being taught that being a boy is inherently evil. With an ever increasing void of positive role models that embrace testosterone and promote healthy channeling of this energy, they latch on to this shit. yes testosterone does make boys do stupid shit-It’s biology-

Might be just a Melbourne thing or a skewed study. My teenage boys + their friends only know of him because you the media can't stop talking about him. I imagine some more easily led could start to believe he matters because he's so worthy of the media's attention all the time.

Report on the Robodebt RC. Wouldn't even know about it if it wasn't for Twitter.

Because the rest of the world bscked by media organisations like the ABC has destroyed any hope for them! If you're not a disabled, black, lesbian, female adjacent, transgender, drag queen, then you're just a piece of 💩 apparently.

ABCmediawatch TheRealPBarry Stop the ABC’s stupid clickbaiting. ABCNews JustinStevens

“Ohhh, he’s a misogynist, he doesn’t like women, ohhh, ohh, call the police !’

Without reading the article it's quite obvious. Immature people with an arrogant confidence flouting their wealth is idolised by teenagers who haven't developed their emotions yet.
