The film follows the young Sammy Fabelman who falls in love with movies and begins to make his own films at home., is supportive of her young artistic son, but soon the Fabelmans' family life begins to spin out of control. Of course, all of this is done with the sweetness of Spielberg's cinematic touch.
When you approach each new job, do you think about the roles you've done and how they fit into a canon of your career?I think that you're sort of making choices moment by moment about what moves you want to explore right now. What would feel new. You really use everything that you have as an actor. It's a physical job. It's an emotional job. And you are sort of constantly bringing everything that you can to bear on whatever role you're playing. So it's all incredibly vulnerable.No, I think it was pure and gorgeous that this man [Steven Spielberg] has chosen at this moment in his life to open up his heart. To us, the actors that are playing his family, but also like to a larger audience. I mean, talk about vulnerability.
