The Acolyte star Amandla Stenberg on the upcoming Star Wars show: 'Walking onto set... You know that it must take a lot of technical ability and craftsmanship to make Star Wars, but you have no clue how expansive it is until you're a part of it.'

The Acolyte star, Amandla Stenberg, recently teased the upcoming Star Wars show's practical creatures and elaborate sets. Announced in 2020, the new television series is part of the massive science-fiction franchise's next chapter following the conclusion of the Sequel Trilogy with Star Wars: Episode IX - The Rise of Skywalker.

SCREENRANT VIDEO OF THE DAY While speaking with ComicBook.com, Stenberg teased practical sets and creatures on the set of The Acolyte. The actor admitted that she was in awe at the "technical ability" on display when she finally arrived on set. She was amazed at the effort and collaboration required to complete a production of this magnitude.

"What can I say that won't get me fired? Walking onto set, I'll just say this, this is vague enough. You know that it must take a lot of technical ability and craftsmanship to make Star Wars, but you have no clue how expansive it is until you're a part of it.

Late last year, Disney shared plot details for The Acolyte, calling it a mystery crime-thriller. When a former Padawan is reunited with her Jedi Master to investigate a series of mysterious crimes, the partners will uncover the emergence of the Dark Side, infiltrating the Jedi Order from within. Logan and His Dark Materials star, Dafne Keen, previously called The Acolyte, is a "Sith-led story," teasing a possible setup for the rise of Palpatine's control Jedi and Republic.

Along with Keen and Stenberg, The Acolyte boasts an expansive well-rounded ensemble cast to include Squid Game Lee Jung-jae, Queen and Slim's Jodie Turner-Smith, The Good Place's Manny Jacinto, Werewolves Within's Rebecca Henderson, Russian Doll's Charlie Bartlett, Game of Thrones' Dean-Charles Chapman, The Deuce's Margarita Levieva, and The Matrix star Carrie-Anne Moss. The upcoming show with consist of eight episodes and will stream on Disney+.
