Artificial light hides you from the truth

it's getting so you can't see the satellites anymore. the lunar projected ads lobby will have a thing or two to say about all of this

No wonder I can’t sleep anymore…

And the alternative is? Make it darker and more dangerous at night? This is part of what it means to be civilized. We don't sit around campfires staring at the twinkling lights in the sky. We have sophisticated lives that go 24/7 (and alternative ways to do astronomy).

Another reason I sold my telescope when I moved to San Antonio. What was the point? West Texas would be another story...but this light pollution is a bugger for sky-watching.
