The original Pink Power Ranger Amy Jo Johnson will not be in the reunion special. 'For the record I never said no…I just didn’t say yes to what was offered. But other fun stuff is in-store! Looking forward to watching my friends kick ass!'

Amy Jo Johnson, the original Pink Ranger, will not be returning for the Mighty Morphin Power Rangers reunion special. Power Rangers began 30 years ago as a show that follows a band of teenagers with attitude brought together by a mysterious mentor who grants them supersuits, superpowers, and the ability to use giant mechanical robots, called Zords, which can merge together into gigantic biomechanical Megazords.

SCREENRANT VIDEO OF THE DAY While Power Rangers has just cast its first full-time female Red Ranger, the franchise hasn't been able to keep all news positive, as Johnson took to Twitter to make it clear that she will not be appearing in the Mighty Morphin Power Rangers reunion. In her place, Catherine Sutherland, who played a later version of the Pink Ranger, will be appearing in the special instead, alongside the other Rangers. While it is disappointing that she won't appear, Johnson still looks to be supporting the other Mighty Morphin Power Rangers cast members.

The cast and crew are more than ready to return to the iconic franchise to prove that no one ever truly stops being a Power Ranger. The Mighty Morphin Power Rangers reunion trailer has already shown off the heroes in action on set and displays the excitement of the cast as they slide back into the classic roles they have been playing for decades.

The special also gives the opportunity for the Power Rangers franchise to right past wrongs. After Yost was originally driven away from the show due to homophobia and harassment, Power Rangers can fix its LGBTQ+ mistake by making it up to Yost and showing how much the franchise has changed over the years. It can be an opportunity to prove to viewers that the Power Rangers will no longer tolerate prejudice against anyone, which is a good lesson to learn.

That's lame of her to say wow ingrate

Was it over money or JDF

She's still messed up over Jason passing. It's completely understandable. She's not into it right now....
