From the creator of Attack the Block, it arrives on the streamer very soon.
Netflix has unveiled a new trailer for its upcoming fantasy series Lockwood & Co which, based on the show's premise and teasers, should be an intriguing blend of Ghostbusters and Harry Potter.Adapted from the young adult book series of the same name by Jonathan Shroud, its story takes place in a world plagued by ghosts and where giant corporations employ psychic teens to battle the supernatural entities.
"Run by Anthony Lockwood , a rebellious young entrepreneur haunted by his mysterious past, his brilliant but eccentric sidekick George and a newly arrived, supremely gifted girl called Lucy , this renegade trio are about to unravel a terrifying mystery that will change the course of history," the Netflix plot synopsis reads.
Along with its unique premise, another exciting element of Lockwood & Co is that Joe Cornish - who made the 2011 comedy sci-fi horror cult classic Attack the Block - will serve as a director and writer on the series, along with being its showrunner. And Netflix subscribers do not have to wait long to see the eight-episode show as it will land on the streamer on 27 January.
