The Traitors became one of the most popular new reality TV shows of the last year, and to the delight of fans the US version will be available to stream on BBC iPlayer tomorrow.
The UK series, hosted by Claudia Winkleman, became an overnight sensation, with Scot Meryl Williams taking home the jackpot alongside Aaron Evans and Hannah Byczkowski. The Traitors proved a huge hit for the broadcaster last year and has been streamed more than 28m times on BBC iPlayer. At the end of the show, the Faithful will share the prize fund if they banish all the Traitors – but if a Traitor is left standing, they take all the money.
Announcing the show’s release, BBC’s Director of iPlayer and Channels, Dan McGolpin, said: “Following the huge success of The Traitors, we’re delighted to give BBC viewers the chance to watch the brand-new US series within hours of its release in America.
