In the past year, Ozempic has become increasingly popular with celebrities, tech moguls and TikTok influencers as a quick and effortless way to lose weight. It has prompted shortages of the drug worldwide.

I just hope and pray that these delightful people are being careful,we wouldn't want them falling off this mortal coil just to be skinny.

The sad irony is that the weight loss is minimal and not permanent in most cases.

luciastein becarmitage the title of this article should be changed to Type 2 Diabetes. Type 2 is cause by a poor life style and poor eating habits. Type 1 is caused by a dead pancreas that does not produce insulin.

Obesity is a serious medical condition. Diabetes should have priority but don’t underestimate the benefits of an anti obesity treatment that works.

I am on Rhyzodeg 70/30 insulin now as I couldn't get Ozempic. Its free. The downside is weight gain from topping up when my blood sugar crashes

Had chronic diabetes since 1988. Recently prescribed Ozempic that improved my treatment regime. However vain women (mainly) found it assists with weight loss and bought it out. Diabetics cannot get it & have to wait months. Thank you vapid Kardashians & Tikbloodytok.

Happy to sell some Lantus or Novarapid by the pen if anyone is looking. Basically does the same thing.... Says me, a 34yr old almost morbidly obese diabetic.
